2024-25 Preliminary Budget

Wednesday, June 12, 2024

Beginning with the 2015-16 fiscal year, SB 858 amends Education Code § 42127 to require that the governing board hold a public hearing for budget adoption or budget revisions to include the following for review and discussion:

- The minimum recommended reserve for economic uncertainties for each fiscal year identified in the budget

- The combined assigned and unassigned ending fund balances that are in excess of the minimum recommended reserve for economic uncertainties for each fiscal year identified in the budget

- A statement of reasons that substantiates the need for an assigned and unassigned ending fund balance that is in excess of the minimum recommended reserve for economic uncertainties for each fiscal year that the school district identifies an assigned and unassigned ending fund balance that is in excess of the minimum recommended reserve for economic uncertainties

The governing board of a school district shall include this information each time it files an adopted budget or revised budget with the County Superintendent of Schools. The County Superintendent of schools shall determine whether a school district's adopted or revised budget complies with these requirements.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

2024-25 Local Control Accountability Plan

Wednesday, June 12, 2024

The Antioch Unified School District will hold a Public Hearing regarding the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the Budget Overview for Parents on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 7:00 pm.  This meeting will be held at the District Office in the Board Room, 510 G Street, Antioch, CA 

 Purpose of the Public Hearing is:

  • To notify the public of the opportunity to submit written comments regarding the specific actions and expenditures to be included in the Local Control and Accountability Plan;

  • To demonstrate to the public how the District intends to meet annual goals for all pupils with specific activities to address state and local priorities; and

  • To comply with Education Code § 42127(a)(1) and §52060‐52077.

 A copy of the draft LCAP is available on the District’s website at www.antiochschools.net/LCAP.
