Work Based-Learning

In the Antioch Unified School District, students focus on exploring the world of high-demand careers in their chosen CTE Pathway through community-based service learning, guest speakers, industry-based field trips, internships, job shadowing, mentoring, simulations, student-led enterprises, visits to colleges, work experience, and other similar such opportunities.
The Work-Based Learning program for the Antioch Unified School District Career Technical Education programs consists of a continuum of activities that have been intentionally and sequentially developed with direction, purpose, and results. Studies have shown that students benefit when they can connect academics to the real world, see career options, and understand what is required to succeed after high school.
