A career in the military isn't for everyone, but for some, it is an opportunity of a lifetime. If you are interested in joining the military, start with researching the branches of the military, which are the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy and Marines. Each branch of the military has its own focus, job specifics and other pertinent differences that may appeal to you.

It is also required that you take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). This multiple choice exam is used to help gauge academic success and future careers, potentially in the military. Click the link below to learn more about the advantages of taking ASVAB.
