Hi! I am in my 6th year of teaching high school English and this is my first year at Antioch High School. Most of my teaching career has been with 11th/12th grade English and Integrated ELD. This year I am very excited to be teaching 10th and 11th grade English. I completed my Bachelors, Credential and Masters in Teaching at St. Mary's College of California and hold Associate degrees from DVC as well. My approach in the classroom is best described as high expectations and high support- I will ask a lot of students, but I will be there with them every step of the way. I believe in relevant, meaningful, and purposeful education that genuinely prepares young people for life after high school.
Outside of the classroom, I am an avid motorcyclist, horse rider, and hiker. I have two dogs named Homer and Maverick, a retired racehorse named Roo, and I married the love of my life, John, at the top of the Grand Canyon in 2021.
