Welcome to my classroom!
A little bit about myself:
My name is Dr. Rossi. I have been a teacher for the Antioch Unified School District for almost 20 years! I completed my first two years of teaching at Black Diamond Middle School, and I have spent the last 18 years teaching here at Antioch High School. During my time here at AHS, I have coached soccer, as well as football. I have held leadership roles, such as co-department chair of the science department, and have contributed to the leadership committee. I was also honored as Teacher of the Year in 2016! I am a proud graduate of Antioch High School (Class of 1997), Go Panthers!!! I am originally from Peru, and I moved to the USA when I was in fourth grade.
After high school, I went on to Diablo Valley College, and transferred to CSU, Chico. Later, I went on to CSU, Hayward (CSUEB) and graduated with a B.S. in Pre-Med Biological Science Degree. I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, but my heart was into education. So, I completed my teaching credential at CSUEB and began teaching! After a few years of teaching, I went back to school and completed my Master's Degree in Education at Saint Mary's College of California. After a few years, I went on to complete my Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership at Saint Mary's College. Additionally, I am also part of the faculty at Saint Mary's College teaching in the Kalmonovitz School of Education working with new teachers.
