Hello Families,

Our last online learning day will be Friday, May 29th. I do not know the timeline for returning computers yet. Keep an eye on your email for information. We will be having a talent show for our last Webex meeting. Anyone may participate that wishes to do so. You may still join our video meeting if you decide you don't want to share your talent. I look forward to seeing what everyone will be showcasing. I plan on bringing my talent as well.

Monday, May 11th

Hello Families,

Thursday, May 14th will be the last chance to pick up your bag of personal belongings from school. You may come any time between 9:00 - 11:00.  Please come drop off your library books and instruments. Go through the drop off/pick up loop. Any bags left over will be thrown away after Thursday.

Monday, May 4th

Happy May the Fourth Day! I hope you had a nice weekend. Check out the assignment page for some Star Wars fun. I will post a few math assignments for the week as well. Remember to keep your day at about two hours. I don't expect you to do everything, but I do expect you to make choices and do some of the work.

Choices:

i-Ready; Math and Reading 15 minutes each

Epic; read a book and take an AR test

Freckle; choose some lessons or do the one I have assigned

Assignments on my web page

Remember to check on the prep class tab for P.E., computers and music lessons. Have a great week working hard.

Reminder: Parents can pick up student's belongings on Thursday 4th-6th grade from 9:00 - 11:00 and TK - 3rd from 11:00 - 1:00. Fourth graders drop off your instrument and all students can return any library books.

Tuesday, April 21st

Hello Families,

I have decided to only add content to this page. I do not have enough students logging in to Microsoft Teams to use that platform. This is much easier for me and after some conversations with students and parents, I have decided at this time to only use my webpage. Please check here daily for any messages and be sure to check the assignment tab.

I will be including some fun activities and assignments for students to complete.

Please remember:

      1. Log in to i-Ready daily, work on math and reading for 15 minutes.

      2. Work on Xtra Math every day

      3. Check out Freckle (you'll find it on the website tab) for added assignments

Office hours are still the same. 9:30 - 10:30 daily (except this Thursday 11:00-12:00)

Dear Families and Students,

I am so sad and very disappointed that we will not be able to return to school this school year.  I know that these are very challenging and stressful times for everyone. I don't want to create more stress.  If your student has access to a computer and the Internet, there is a world of learning out there for them!  Some of the learning sites that students have used all school year are linked on this website. I have also included a couple of other websites to use.

I am available to help students through any challenges they face.  Email is the best form of communication as I will be checking it frequently throughout the day. Below I've set up a suggested schedule for you to work on until the district has Microsoft Teams in place.

Monday through Friday Daily Work

Practice math facts

Read daily for 20 - 30 minutes Check my website page for Epic (free online books to read)

Take an AR test

I-Ready Math 15 minutes daily

I-Ready Reading 15 minutes daily

Start keeping a daily journal

Please don't worry about getting everything done all at once. Do try to set up a daily routine. Children often are able to focus best in the morning, but make it work for your family especially if you are having to share computers.  Please remember to take breaks to play, eat, and relax.

My office hours are from 9:30 - 10:30 daily.

Please check the Carmen Dragon Facebook page for lessons from Mrs. Pesmark (P.E.) and Mr. Beck (computers)
