heat wave

Dear Dozier-Libbey Families of Graduates:

A heat advisory has been issued for Antioch, California for Wednesday, June 5th and Thursday, June 6th, with temperatures expected to exceed 100 degrees.  The Dozier-Libbey graduation practice and ceremony are scheduled to occur on those days.   Our graduation practice is being moved into the Deer Valley cafeteria, instead of the amphitheater on Wednesday.

We are asking our families to plan for our graduation events in anticipation of the high temperatures expected.  We are recommending that families consider bringing the following to the ceremonies:  cold water, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a towel to sit on.   In addition, sensitive guests may want to remain at home.  You can access the Dozier-Libbey Medical High School graduation event livestream at:

We will have additional cold water available at our graduation rehearsal on Wednesday and at the graduation ceremony on Thursday.

I am looking forward to watching our graduates receive their diplomas on Thursday!

Sincerely,

Karen Clark
