PARK Soccer Girls: Mikala Dominguez has been playing soccer for about 10 years now and since she started, she has been in love with playing the game. Mikala is a unique athlete. She possesses explosive speed to go along with the ability to carry that speed long distances at a time. Her strength on the field is rarely matched and often is too much for opponents to handle. Her ability to shoot is also one of her attributes that stands out amongst her peers. She not only can shoot with amazing power from far, but she is continuing to grow as a passer as well. She takes pride in making that extra pass, so that one of her teammates can finish. She loves getting assists! The way she sees the field, and the play developing in front of her, is amazing. Her field IQ is remarkable and will only continue to expand as she continues her soccer journey. We can't wait to see Mikala grow on this journey into the elite soccer world. Mikala is the team Captain and has played at Park for two seasons. In the two seasons she played for Park, the team has gone undefeated, outscoring opponents. A total of 100 goals have been scored in two seasons with 1 goal against. Mikala is responsible for 50 of those goals and many assists. Your parents, teammates and coach are proud of you. Future for female soccer is bright! Here is the link to the video: https://youtu.be/2xTiD6zop4Y

Park Families
As many of you may have heard our community has suffered a major tragedy. On December 22 there was a hit and run accident that claimed the life of a 12 year old boy and a 13 year old boy. Both boys were members of our Antioch community and the 12 year old was a member of our Park Community. The family has suffered an unimaginable loss and with that comes unexpected needs. I am including the link to the Go Fund me that was set up for the family if you would like to help. If you would like to help in other ways please reach out to amyfernandez@antiochschools.net to find out what the family may need at this time.
