Welcome! Good morning, afternoon, or evening! I’m so glad you’ve found me. I am, Ms. Fernandez, the PARK MIDDLE School Counselor. As a school counselor, I help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development, ensuring today's students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.

I work to provide support services for all students. I am a resource and support for all staff members and parents, as well. Additionally, as a school counselor, I can be a liaison with outside community resources.

I have been in the Antioch School District for many years; previously at Kimball Elementary and now at PARK Middle for years. I am looking forward to a GREAT year and getting to know each of YOU. Please feel free to come by to visit or say "Hi!" when you see me around.

Hello! I am Mrs. Flores, one of the two counselors here at Park Middle School!

Hello Park Middle School, students and families! Welcome to the school counseling page! My name is Mrs. Flores, and this is my first year as a middle school counselor. I have been in education for over 10 years, but this is my 1st year as a school counselor for AUSD. I was born in California and grew up in Antioch for most of my life. I am here to support students with academic, social and emotional needs. Let me assist you with finding the right resources to best meet the needs of you and your family so that your student(s) can be successful in school. Here are some ways I can support your student(s):

  • Collaborate with families to increase attendance and reduce absenteeism.

  • Embrace cultural diversity through art and celebration!

  • Teach effective coping skills through positive mindful strategies and restorative justice.

  • Promote lifelong learning through college and career interests.

  • Participate/Attend home visits, SST's, 504 and IEP meetings.

  • Listen and care for student needs and more.

  • Engage parent involvement on campus.

  • Promote social emotional awareness.

I look forward to working with you all!
