Maintain structure, routine, and rituals
Minimize/monitor their access to media and the news
Remind them of all of the people that love them and help keep them safe
Encourage exercise, play, and proper nutrition
Set limits on device time
And extra hugs, of course!
What Do You Want Your Child to Remember?
Memories that children form are tied to strong emotions. I think we can all agree that emotions are strong these days. So take a moment to think about what you want your child to remember about this time. Yes, there are challenges; yes, there are struggles. Yet this is also an opportunity to connect. Take care of yourself the best you can, hug your kids, and take a moment to make a special memory - one you will be glad your child looks back on.
