Mission Statement:

By focusing on the ‘whole student’ and through relationship building, we promote the development of skills in the areas of academia, positive decision making, and self management. By providing a small academic community in which to learn, our goal is to reach each student with the belief that everyone can learn, and become their best self.

Overview:

Our Opportunity Program provides a supportive academic environment with specialized core curriculum, instruction, guidance and counseling, in order to help students overcome barriers to learning. Our program provides an academic platform that allows for behavior modification, improvement in attendance, and the development of social skills. The program also facilitates positive self-esteem, confidence, and personal growth for students, with the goal of being successful at the comprehensive school sites. This program is not a permanent placement for resistant learners but as a short-term intervention to ensure that students will succeed when they return to their regular classrooms.
