Hello Kimball Families,
My name is Ms. Edwards, and I am the School Counselor at Kimball Elementary School. I am so excited and honored to be joining our amazing Kimball Family! I am committed to encouraging, supporting, and empowering our students to become their best selves. My primary task is to help students become better learners by providing a counseling program that meets their academic, personal, social, and emotional needs.
I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups and will collaborate and work as a team with parents and staff to help each student achieve their highest potential. By providing encouragement, hope, respect, empathy, humor, creativity, and patience, it is my goal to help each student gain the courage, insight and confidence to overcome their academic and social/emotional challenges.
A little about me…I grew up in California, where I attended CSU Fresno and received a BA in Communicative Disorders - Education of the Deaf, a master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling and a master’s degree in School Counseling. After working as a School Counselor for 18 years in Santa Barbara, CA, I moved to Texas to raise my five children. Three years ago, I moved back to sunny California where I enjoy hiking, sporting events, live music and devouring java chip or brownie ice-cream! Yum!!!
