Lunchtime Snack System Update
Starting Monday, 4/15/24, there will be some changes to our snack system in the cafeteria at lunch. First, we are moving to a cashless snack system. So, if students wish to purchase snack, parents or guardians will need to deposit money into student accounts at myschoolbucks.com. We will no longer be accepting cash for snacks starting Monday. A second change is going to be a limit on items purchased. Beginning Monday, students will be limited to 2 items a day from the snack menu.
CAASPP State Testing
State Testing (CAASPP) is coming up for students in grades 3rd-6th. Some classes are beginning testing next week, and all other classes will begin the following week.
Here are some student reminders for state testing:
During testing, it is important to go to bed early and get enough rest. Children in Elementary and Middle School typically need 9 or more hours of sleep each night to be well rested.
Make sure to get up on time, eat a good breakfast, and come to school on time. Testing will take place in the morning for most classes. If students are last for the testing session for the day, they may have to wait in the office or another setting so that testing is not interrupted and make up that session during test make ups.
Finally, make sure to read every item, think about what each question is asking you, and do your best on the test.
