Welcome, my name is Nicole Matsutani. I am kindergarten, first grade, and second grade, (K-2) Special Day Class Teacher at John Muir Elementary. I earned my B.A. in Child Development at California State University, Sacramento. I also earned my Special Education credential and my Multiple Subject credentials at California State University, Sacramento. I earned my master's in special education at California State University, Sacramento also. I have been teaching for about 21 years. I have taught in an SDC (Special Day Class) setting for five years (5 years at John Muir, one year at another school in another district). For my other 16 years, I have been a Resource Specialist. I was the Resource Specialist at John Muir for three years before I became the K-2 SDC teacher. Now, I am the 1st-3rd grade SDC teacher.
